Excerpts from the Travel Journal, Day Three: Edinburgh

I woke up around 5 a.m., because I am insane. What is mostly disconcerting is that it was just as bright in the room at 5 a.m. as it was at 9 p.m.--which is to say: bright. I considered for a little while whether I could see the sun rise, then decided: (1) the sun appeared to have already risen; and (2) you can't actually see the sun in Scotland. bouncy_castle79pointed out that we had no idea whih direction the room faced, as we were never able to track the path of the sun.
