Fortuna had grown up through all of time and space but truthfully the traditions she was most familiar with were old-fashioned Earth ones or practically extinct Gallifreyan ones. The Koressian tradition of tattooing one’s body prior to graduating from their university was not one she knew.

Salia suggested they go get the tattoos together. Fortuna, who had always been taught to respect local custom, went along, undecided.

“It’s a symbol of how we are graduating into a different stage of ourselves,” said Salia, gesturing to her tattoo. “We are literally different people.”

Fortuna consented to a tattoo of a wheel.
