“Is this weird?” Athena asked, as they stood in Henrik’s together.

“Going back in time to see the night when your mum met your dad?” replied Fortuna, dryly. “Why would you think that?”

“It isn’t weird, it’s…history,” insisted Brem. “Our history.”

“There she is,” Athena breathed.

Fortuna squeaked, “She looks like me!”

“She looks so young,” said Athena.

“Wellllll,” reasoned Brem. “She was.”

They silently watched her folding sweaters.

“Do you think she knew she was about to meet the father of her children?” Fortuna asked, eventually.

“Not at all,” answered Brem. “One never does. That’s what makes life fun.”

This is a really cute idea! I can just see them spying on Rose, trying to see what their mum was like before she became their mum...before she even met their dad. Bit of a different life, that's for sure! :)

No idea why I have never before read your advent drabbles, but tonight I am enjoying them all. This is a particular favorite. I adore how these kids ship their own parents so enthusiastically, especially unabashed Brem!

Next year I am determined to get in a request with the word Brem-Clara. The hyphen makes it just one word. ;-)
