I actually really admire Janine, as does Sherlock. She's very strong and very determined to see the bright side of things, and that's a wonderful quality to have. And she's also just as fiercely loyal as John.

Poor John, he really is so out of sorts and he hasn't had any time or opportunity to make any of what he's feeling make sense to him.
