He still forgot sometimes that she needed to sleep. He would be full of energy and enthusiasm, amazed by the sights of a particular planet, eager to show her the next wonder, and then he would realize she was dragging, about to collapse. It was one of those moments now, not because of anything fun but because of a particularly harrowing adventure, and she crawled into their bed, too tired to even discuss with him how close they had come to being separated. He followed suit and bundled her close to him and thought that sometimes even he understood exhaustion.
