Important 1937 Book Announcement!

Let's be honest: LJ was never the ideal platform for a bunch of photo-heavy posts. Had Tumblr been around when I started the 1937 book posts, they would always have been a Tumblr thing. Well, now that Tumblr is around, and now that LJ has told me I've run out of photo storage and need to start deleting photos, I've decided to officially make the move. Therefore, here is the announcement: 

The 1937 book is moving to Tumblr! If you want to make sure you don't miss a single moment of the action, follow along there!

All new entries (and I have a bunch of tours done that need to get written up, including some New Orleans tours!) will only be posted to the Tumblr account. Eventually I plan to move all the old entries over there, too.

Tumblr is difficult to get the hang of, I find, but now I pretty much love it. It's just a bunch of pretty pictures!

Awwwwwwwwwww! It really is *so* much better for photo posts. I can't get over how much easier it is now for me to get these things up. You can just view the website without having to follow it, so you don't *have* to belong to Tumblr.

Aww, I love your 1937 book posts! Any chance you can link from here when you post one? Tumblr frightens me and even if I had an account, I can't imagine I'd ever figure out how to see your 1937 posts in among all the other stuff. Pretty please? Just a link here?

Hmm. There must be a way to do this... One of the things I like about Tumblr is that it's easy to queue posts up, so I've been doing a bunch of 1937 book posts and having one photo post each day, basically, automatically, without my having to be there. But there must be a way to get my LJ to update with a link every time the post is posted.... I'll look into it!

Yeah, it's queued to make one post a day. I've been doing them one "stop" on the tour at a time.
