Advent Drabble 3- Nuzzling

There was mistletoe hung all over the house and Sherlock was annoyed by it.

“I know,” John agreed, “it’s a lot, but I think your mother is just happy we’re happy.”

“It’s like she’s testing us,” Sherlock spat out, “to make sure we’re really dating this year. But anyway, mistletoe is a terrible tradition. Christmas traditions are awful.”

“I don’t believe you really think that,” John said, mindful of the twelve days.

Sherlock continued, “A special plant for kissing, but where’s the plant for nuzzling? Not enough nuzzling is being encouraged,” Sherlock sulked. “Absolutely unacceptable.”

John, charmed, promptly nuzzled him.

AWW I LOVE IT!!! I love how you link the drabble with the fic with the mentions of Violet and the twelve days, and how Sherlock loves Christmas traditions in secret, and the very Sherlockian way he asks for a cuddle. Also the last sentence is charming, and the whole thing is funny and so sweet and Christmassy and that was exactly what I wished with this prompt, THANK YOU!

P.S. John should remind Sherlock that mistletoe is toxic, he'll stop being annoyed immediately. :D

Awww yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much! It can be challenging to make sure it feels like the right 'verse in 100 words, so I'm so glad this really felt like that version of Johnlock!

And you're right, some kind of mistletoe murder would make Sherlock very happy.
