Oh, I cried over this! I was already in tears when you described how the Doctor held Fortuna as the older two clung to Rose. But then as soon as Brem said he didn't want anything for Xmas, I just knew... *Sob*
Really, I know I've told you this before, but you do such a phenomenal job of crawling inside a parent's head. As a mom, my heart just goes out to Rose and the Doctor for how they're trying so hard to make everything better again, but aching over the utter impossibility of fixing this for their kids.
I know you said you haven't any kids of your own, but have you taken psychology classes? Your perceptive abilities and natural intuition are pretty darn awesome and obviously aid you greatly as a writer.
