It Must Be Some Sort of Weird Conspiracy or Something

Colleen couldn't come to Tuesday Night Dinner tonight, as she is busy getting settled and waiting for a baby and important things of that nature. This meant that I stumbled upon BBC America playing "The Runaway Bride" and "Smith & Jones." Now I had been bewildered all last week by the amount of attention the return of "Torchwood" was getting in America, to the point where it was the Critic's Choice in "USA Today." I watch "Torchwood" and it is, frankly, horrible. It's true that this past episode was an improvement (if Chris Chibnall wrote that episode without considerable input from Russell T. Davies, I'll eat my hat), but I remained bewildered that not a single article I read noted that "Torchwood" is a spin-off of the far superior "Doctor Who."

And I think I may have discovered why tonight.
