The Week That Was
Sep. 17th, 2008 08:16 pmThe week has been an adventure, to say the least. Monday and Tuesday I was in Dallas, straggling in at midnight on Tuesday after an exhausting deposition, Wednesday was passably okay, and Thursday was just a disaster, that culminated in a breezy fourteen-hour day with not even a stop for lunch, whereupon I stumbled home at 11, into bed at 11:30, and then up at 6:30 to greet another madcap day. My one stroke of genius was to take a bubble bath on Friday morning before leaving to work, and I was more relaxed than I think I would otherwise have been. Friday was another lunch-less dash to the end, with the promise of more work on Saturday, and by 5 p.m., disheartened, I had made plans with

Naturally, I planned to meet them by 6, didn’t get out the door at work until 6:30, and then promptly had a technological crisis which meant I spent a great deal of dinner on my Blackberry trying to figure out how to fix said technological crisis.
