Penultimate Commentary

In response to this post, azriona had an unusual request: that I pick a fic I didn't write for a commentary. I decided to go with Penultimate, by chicklet73, because, well, I love it. Does there need to be more reasoning? And it's true that I love lots of fic, but, well, further explanation for why I picked this one under the cut.
