An Appeal on Behalf of a Long-Term Reader

susanb03 , a long-term reader here of the Chaosverse, has a husband who was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic lymphoma/leukemia in 2008. At the time, he did not have health insurance and incurred over $100,000 in medical bills to fight the cancer. Recently, after only eighteen months, the cancer returned, and he is again undergoing treatment. While he now has health insurance, the bills incurred during the first fight, although paid down some, continue to loom. 

susanb03 asked me if I would publicize a charitable min-golf tournament being held on her and her husband's behalf to help pay down the medical bills. The tournament is taking place just outside Cedar Rapids, Iowa. If you live in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area and you would like to participate, please let me know and I can send you the information. 

I posted the first chapter of "Chaos Theory" on February 23, 2008. That means we are exactly a week away from the three-year anniversary of the day the Doctor learned that Brem was on his way. Three years. I was floored when I actually went back and looked up that date and realized how long it's been. In that three-year time period, I have met all of you amazing people who have dropped by to read and leave comments, and I have been so grateful for all of you. And I figured that the least I could do, for a long-term reader who has become part of this Chaosverse family, was the following:

The person who donates the most will win a 2,000-word fic. (Therefore, if you want to come back and revise how much you donate based on a later donation, your highest number will be used as your total -- it will not be added to your previous number.
