TEN DAYS LEFT -- Words 1-100

We have reached the point I'd never thought I'd see: TEN DAYS LEFT AT MY JOB.

To celebrate, I'm going to post 100 words of a thousand-word fic each day from now until the end. It's not the world's most brilliant fic, but it is a happy, Boston-y fic. And it's called "Declaration of Independence."
