Got invited to a dinner with a visiting professor last night. Dinner started at 6:30. I walked in my door at 11:30. Yes. I have no idea why it took so long. But I came home to new podfic covers from themusecalliope for Scotch, so that was awesome! You should go to AO3 and check them out!

Lent--Day 31

Today, one of my colleagues told me that I always look so nice and wear the cutest outfits. This is always a nice thing to hear, of course, but it is extra-nice because when I was a lawyer I was too depressed to brush my teeth, never mind do my hair or pick out an outfit, and when I switched jobs I vowed to be better about that, and now I put on clothing and brush my hair and even APPLY MAKE-UP without thinking what a tremendous effort it all is, and it's nice to be reminded of that.
