Time is jumping ahead, but everyone else explains it away. If Athena asked about it, Matt would be like, "Well, yeah, but we've been sitting together, chatting..." He would expand their activities to fill the time they'd lost. With Athena strictly pointing it out to him, he'd probably realize he's wrong and he just lost two hours but seeing how other people completely don't feel the time skip at all would have upset Athena more so she left it alone.
