Brem--all the kids--are very lucky to have the dad they do. He'll go Oncoming Storm to keep them safe. ;-)
I'm glad their reactions were heartbreaking to you. I must admit I've tried often to imagine what the scene was like in Rose and the Doctor's TARDIS when Brem started broadcasting his anguish. Because the Doctor would shut down immediately, focused on getting to him, and Rose would have no idea what was going on...
