Belle and Sebastian. When I was very, very young, I was obsessed with this show. I simply wanted to be Sebastian, for some reason. Every time I washed my face, I would envision myself to be Sebastian, washing his face in a clear, crisp mountain stream. I loved this show so much that I convinced my father we needed to rename our dog Belle. My father went along with it, my mother told him you can't change a dog's name halfway through its life, so we compromised by making Belle the dog's middle name. Anyway, I wish I could remember exactly why my four-year-old self loved this show so much, I just remember that I did.
