Interesting. Question, though (because I'm contrary like that): how is the Master returned when the Doctor didn't go to Malcarisso with Martha and Jack to remind Doctor Yana that he was the Master? And if he didn't go to Malcarisso, how is the Doctor not surprised to see him, since last the Doctor knew, the Master was locked away on Gallifrey like all the rest of the Time Lords?
(I'm sure there's an answer, and I'm missing some bit of information or something, and I just don't remember.)
