So, since I've been reading this series, I've had one story in my head. Now, initially, I assumed this was going to be Journey's End. And then it started to elevate and I figured out what was going on and seriously...this is the story I've been craving this entire series. You don't even know.
And it was perfect. Just..Athena and Matt which I have been WAITING for and it's HERE! I love they way you wrote them. Honestly, I could have taken more of them dancing around it because I love that kind of thing, especially when she freaks out at Kelly and he KNOWS. To him it really was about her just figuring it out, and then what he says about waiting...I just love Matt so much.
I don't think words can describe how perfectly you incorporated the kids into this storyline. They all did their part, and kept their father alive this time around. Not only that though, the way you incorporated Athena, taking the drums away from the Master altogether since that's not his part in this. The way they solved the issue, Rose only needing to have her presence in order to stop them.
THE DOCTOR AND MASTER INTERACTION WAS THE BEST EVER! They cracked me up. Especially the Master. I hope when he does evil things and plans he just automatically chills out when it comes to Athena. I can see him being cool about Athena. And I like that. Doctor and the Master amusing each other throughout time with their rivalry but the Master actually being cool about certain things.
I don't know, it was the right amount emotional and the right amount funny, which you usually do but this one could have been a long episode it fit so well. Just perfect.
