I am actually so, so, so glad that you're reading this with only vague knowledge of the movie! I devoured weeks' worth of Inceptionfic before finally giving in and re-watching the movie, so I feel like Inceptionfic in its purest form should actually be separated from the canon. It's very weird fanfiction in that respect.
I am also so glad that you're on board with the Eames/Arthur banter, which is *so* the best part of them, they are hilariously obvious in their flirtation sniping and it's hysterical that they think they're so secretive about all of it. In the VERY NEXT CHAPTER Eames is going to be like, "I don't get why Mycroft knew you would come as soon as I called you," and Arthur's like, "Oh, you know, whatever, let's not think too hard about that," and it's like, *right there* and Eames is just *so unable to see it* and they are basically crazy people.
(Which also explains why Eames failed to look through Arthur's suitcases when he had a chance. Eames is an *idiot* when it comes to Arthur.)
