catyuyasked for Top 5 DW characters who should get their own shows, Top 5 Old School companions I wish had been on-screen with Ten, Top 5 Shows DW should cross over with, and Top 5 times the Doctor and Rose should have kissed. All are below.

Top 5 DW Characters Who Should Get Their Own Shows

1.

Sally Sparrow. "Blink" is one of my all-time favorite episodes, and I think that's all down to the fact that I adore Sally Sparrow. She absolutely rocks. I'd totally watch an investigation show with her and Larry Nightingale, detectives and DVD-shop owners...

2.

Jackie Tyler. Old-School Jackie Tyler, not Pete's World Jackie Tyler, which, no offense to Pete's World Jackie Tyler, but I'd want a show starring the Jackie from S1 and S2. Actually, I think I'd want her to have a talk show. She's sit on the sofa in her lounge and gossip with her viewers and offer advice. Wouldn't it be awesome?

3.

Mickey Smith. I've always thought that Mickey Smith should have had a Pete's World spinoff where he and Jake ran around snogging and saving the (alternate) world.

4.

John Simm's Master. It would be called "Crafts with the Master." And he would teach us how to knit handcuffs and how to paint pictures of our enemies being destroyed and how to sculpt enormous statuesof ourselves.

5.

John Smith. Wouldn't you watch a show about John Smith? A sweeping historical drama.

Top 5 Old School Companions I Wish Had Been On-Screen with Ten

Full Disclosure: I've never seen any old Who, so I'm working off of what little I've gleaned of that universe from being in fandom.

1. Romana. When Ten is opposite other Time Lords (the Master, the "next Doctor"), Tennant shifts subtly, so that you realize he's been slightly condescending toward every non-Time-Lord he's encountered. I like this Ten, I think it's a fascinating and perfect choice on Tennant's part and I love how he pulls it off, and I'd love to see him play off another Time Lord like Romana.

2. Following from the Romana point above, Susan. Because not only is she another Time Lord, but there's the vague relationship question that I think Tennant would have played beautifully. I'm glad Romana and Susan never showed up, because I think the continual return of Time Lords would lessen the whole Time War arc, but it still would have been fun.

3. The Brigadier. Because everyone seems to like him, and Ten needs to hang out with more men.

4. Leela. Because I think Ten's fairly formal suits would like nice next to animal skins.

5. Adric. Because there would have been guilt, and that's Ten's bread and butter.

Top 5 Shows DW Should Crossover With

1. "Gossip Girl." Okay, I'm only choosing this because I've written it.

2. "Supernatural." Yup, written that one, too. But, honestly, it just makes sense that they would eventually run into each other.

3. "Top Gear." I think Ten would be hilarious on this show. He would complain about having to drive a car instead of a TARDIS, and he would totally enthusiastically join Jeremy in his terrible plans, during which they would attempt to out-whinge each other.

4. "The West Wing." Kristin was trying to get me to write this the other night. I stay out of writing WW fics, because I am no Aaron Sorkin, but can't you just see Toby staring at a manic Ten? Because I can.

5. Hmm. Does "Harry Potter" count, even though it's not a show? Because all wizards are clearly Time Lords. Okay, maybe I'll go with "30 Minute Meals," just because, like, why not? EVERYTHING can use a little Ten.

Top 5 Times the Doctor and Rose Should Have Kissed

1.

After their farewell hug in "Age of Steel." There's this moment when they almost lean their foreheads together after that hug, and they just smile at each other, and there should have totally been a snog in there.

2.

They should be snogging each other all over T&C, but especially after they howl each other into the Vortex at the end of T&C. Oh, who are we kidding, they totally shagged after that episode fades to black.

3.

During their TSP reunion hug.

4.

During their reunion in TSE. I still feel cheated over that.

5.

When Rose comes back from Pete's World in "Doomsday." She should have grabbed him and snogged the life out of him.

Your reasoning behind Leela and Adric for companions is made of complete WIN. Also you've made me randomly picture Ten in a loincloth and for that I thank you most deeply.

The five missed snogging opportunities make me feel very wistful. *sigh* You are absolutely correct on every one, though. Frankly, I do not understand why Rose was not kissing Ten every moment they were onscreen together. Well. Offscreen too. All the time, really.

INCORRECT. The suggestion that Rose and the Doctor were constantly snogging offscreen is the absolute antithesis of terrible, or something a terrible person would say.

Sigh. Because *this* is the sort of thing I actually remember (instead of, say, the names of all of the African countries) I can tell you exactly how the Master craft show idea came to be:

K was talking about the evils of double-pointed knitting needles. You, chicklet, were talking about wanting green gloves, and jlrpuck said she'd make you some except they are made with double-pointed needles and she suggested you wouldn't want gloves knit by pure evil. This made you picture the Master knitting, and I asked if he was knitting handcuffs. And then, yes, to no one's great shock given this is the kind of "useful" thing I do with my time, I suggested that crafting with the Master would make a great TV show, and EGT agreed and said the Master should whisper everything like he's on "The Joy of Painting." The end.
