What good is having a digital camera, if you don't use it to take tons and tons of pictures, only one of which might come out well?

I think *cheap* digital camera are not as good as regular ones. And I feel no need to buy an expensive digital camera at this moment when my film camera works perfectly well for me.

Also, I have asked for a DVD Camcorder for Christmas. This seems like infinitely more pressing a need in my life than a digital camera at the moment.
