39: Wii. No, seriously, I adore Wii. This is why I don't own it, I would do nothing but play it all day. Which I did for most of the day and night yesterday.
40: The following conversation, which I overheard my parents having in the kitchen this morning: 

My mother: Do you want cake for breakfast?
My father: No.
My mother: What about ice cream pie?
My father: Can we have a normal breakfast, please?
My mother: (sigh)

I also love Wii and just bought DDR today. I'm terrible at it, but it is so much fun! I also finally tried out The Golden Compass adventure game I picked up for 6 bucks. Adventure games are so much more fun on the Wii!

I think I love your parents. My mother has a saying, which she didn't share with us until we became adults: Life is short and unpredictable, eat dessert first. Perhaps your mother and mine went to the same school of thought.

I will say this for my mother: She was very good about letting us have dessert for dinner every once in a while. I think because she wanted it herself. ;-)

I just got a Wii and am waiting on a wireless router so I can have it connected to the internet back on the other side of my house. Take a break from the great northern tier and come to TX where it's early summer! I have extra rooms (with beds in them even!)

On a slightly different note: it seems the height of incongruity that you are counting the days of Lent and have these posts about "Fic Porn" nestled amongst them...

And a darn good thing He did, too! We'd have never made it past the Garden of Eden if not! Sex = good, pr0n not so much - I think it carries the "obsession" label - too much of anything is not good. One forgets to enjoy all the other great things in life.

Since you were counting down to Easter, I will assume you celebrated it in "proper" fashion. Best make sure you've checked all the hiding places, even candy eggs will start to go bad after too long... ;-)
