It was a long, frantic, not-so-stellar day to begin with, I noticed that when I left work at 7:30, the sun was setting, indicating that the days are getting shorter and soon it will be dark at 4 and that's so incredibly depressing, and then, to top it all off, the BBC had to go and be mean to US-ers!
As far as I know, never before has the BBC chosen different DVD covers for the US and the UK, so why, when they are gracing the UK with the awesomest DVD cover known to man (aka the John Simm/David Tennant masterpiece), are they punishing the US with one of those dreadful running-in-front-of-explosion photos that looks badly photoshopped? Why does the BBC hate me? Why? What have I ever done to them but praise them high and low and specially order BBC America and pay their riduclous DVD prices? They want me to pay $100 for a DVD with --and if you love her, forgive me for this, but seriously -- the lacklustre Freema Agyeman on the cover when I could have had the peerless John Simm being all slashy with David Tennant instead? Maybe I would have been okay with a Doctor/Martha cover had I not been teased with Doctor/Master. Actually, comparing the two DVDs again, the UK DVD even looks thicker. Anyway, how furious was I about this? I, um, may have written the BBC an e-mail on their feedback page complaining about it. And maybe you want to, too?
