Champagne. And the return of Don Draper, who I'd really rather missed. (Although I'd totally forgotten the particular rhythm of an episode of "Mad Men." I was like, "Soooooo, I've been watching this for an hour now, and what has happened?" For a fun experiment, I should chase an episode of "Mad Men" with, say, "The Reichenbach Fall." I feel like the difference in pacing would give me whiplash.)

I have to say, I thought the pace of this episode (didn't bother looking at its title yet) was...odd. Made odder for me because I had to time shift it slightly, so I was fast forwarding commercials in an attempt to catch up, and that always takes me out of things slightly.

But DAMN, was I happy to see Don Draper again. And we're now of an age. Sigh. I will just need to keep reminding myself that back in the day 40 was MUCH older than it is now. Yeah.

Yeah, I couldn't tell, though, if the pace really was odd or it was just that it had been so long since I'd watched an episode of Mad Men. I know the people who don't like the show frequently say that it moves too slowly and nothing ever happens.

But I'm with you, I'd still rather be in a world with regular Don Draper than a world without him. I love him so much. AND HE DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE IT.

Damn right, he doesn't deserve it! Which of course, makes me love him more. I think it's amazing that the writers have been able to make such a cad so heroic. He's easily one of the most complex characters ever put on screen, and John Hamm plays him beautifully.

Downside to Sunday's episode? Zoobie Zoobie Zoo is STILL stuck in my head!

Jon Hamm is *so* *brilliant.* I don't think anyone else could have pulled off that role.

Truly! The man is amazing.

And to correct my post above, I've found the song is actually Zou Bisou Bisou, which actually makes a lot more sense.

Ha! Yes, it probably would.

*gets busy drawing hearts around Roger Sterling*

Loved this exchange:

Roger(to Jane): "Why don't you sing like that?"
Jane: "Why don't you look like him?"

Yes! I *loved* that exchange! I actually thought this episode had a lot more witty banter in it than the usual episode of Mad Men. I don't know. That was my impression.
