On Electronics

So my computer is broken. It's been broken for two weeks. One day it just magically stopped recognizing that it was plugged in, so I couldn't charge the battery. This has happened to me before. I am accursed with electronics. Welllll [/Ten], I have bad luck with many things like that. I entertain my assistant with stories about the outrageous things that happen to me. So I borrowed my father's computer and shipped my computer off to be fixed (it's under warranty; the things I buy are always under warranty, because of my abysmal luck with them). Then they shipped back to me...a broken computer! With the pronouncement that my AC adapter was broken and that's not under warranty! I called and complained, and they admitted that the AC adapter is covered by the warranty, but they had shipped the computer to a vendor who doesn't fix AC adapters, so now I had to ship the computer to another vendor. And I complained again, because this is the silliest system of all time. So they assured me that they wouldn't make me send the computer off again, they would just send me an AC adapter. Well, two days go by, and I can see, from being able to track my request, that they haven't even ordered an AC adapter for me yet. So I called them again, to complain again, and they said they couldn't order an AC adapter until I sent them mine, which is decidedly not what they had told me previously, but whatever. My assistant helps me wrap up the AC adapter and stuff it in a sketchy-looking envelope that looks like I'm sending them a bomb. And then what happens? Four hours after I send off the AC adapter, I get an e-mail from Circuit City that they have order me an AC adapter. I decide not to call them to figure out what's going on, because I'm scared they'll cancel the order until they receive my AC adapter, and I want the AC adapter. But then, today, I get a message from Circuit City that they have ordered me another AC adapter, clearly because they have now received the AC adapter that I sent to them. So now I am getting two AC adapters. But I am not going to say anything, because it will be a miracle if any of them actually make it into my possession.
