By being extremely resourceful and teaching myself things, I have managed to create a community: writing_chatter . Of course, I think I've done it entirely wrong, but, you know, life is a challenging adventure, and you must break free of your comfort zone. (This is what I learned from David Tennant.) Anyway, if you want to be a member, let me know. I suppose I should post, like, something introductory or something, but that would require me to learn another new thing today, and first I must recover from all the learning I had to do just to create the community.

Now, then, moving on, I wanted to tell all of you about this website: justincaseidie.com.  I think this is one of the most brilliant ideas for a website I have ever, ever, ever heard. Unfortunately, it doesn't work. My friend set one up to send me a message if she didn't log in by midnight, and it sent it to me at 8 p.m. BUT it was still one of the funniest things I've ever received over e-mail.

Do I have to be a writer to join your comm? Or is it just for writers to post and discuss their original fiction?

Actually, even before you make a mod-post on writing-chatter, you should probably write up a community description and a list of rules to put in the profile. That's the first place I go when I see a new comm.

I'm submitting a membership request, btw. It might be nice to have something new that's not full of wank on my friendslist.

I wonder if the send-at-midnight service was using GMT? Four hours sounds about right for the difference between Eastern Daylight Savings and GMT.

This is the Original Fiction community you mentioned a few days ago? My OF is moribund, getting maybe a new page a year, but I will visit.

Yes, Original Fiction, but I posted on the welcome post that I'm not sure it's inappropriate (yes, double negative there) to post issues being had with fanfiction as well. Fiction is fiction is fiction, right?

Hi - just one comment on how justincaseidie.com didn't work for you...could it be that you're in the US? Most likely on the east coast? I know that that site is in the UK, and uses UK time, so it would have sent the message at midnight in the UK.
