Just called FedEx for the fourth time since Wednesday. Had the following conversation:

Me: The computer is telling me that my package wasn't delivered yesterday.
Him: That's right, ma'am.
Me: Why wasn't it delivered?
Him: It says it's going to be delivered tomorrow.
Me: But why wasn't it delivered yesterday?
Him: It wasn't.
Me: Yes, but I was told on Friday that I would get the package yesterday, so I'm trying to figure out why I didn't.
Him: It's going to be delivered tomorrow by the end of the business day.
Me: But what was the issue that kept it from being delivered yesterday?
Him: It's being delivered tomorrow.
Me: Look, I've been on the phone with you people about this package for the past five days. You have a million problems. So tell me what it is I have to do in order to get this package tomorrow.
Him: Uh, no, you'll get the package tomorrow.
Me: I am not optimistic that I'm getting this package tomorrow.
Him: I'm sure you will, ma'am.
Me: I was told I'd get the package yesterday.
Him: It's being delivered tomorrow.
Me: Bye.

And then I hung up. At this point I just feel totally helpless. I think they never intend on ever delivering this package to me. It's the strangest situation ever. They're just going to keep promising that it will come the next day and never delivering it. I was furious about this on Friday. Today I'm just defeated. They have all the power--especially since I didn't pay for the shipment anyway--and they'll just keep laughing at me and refusing to deliver the package ad infinitum, especially as I'll never get out of work early enough to drive to bloody Guam to get the thing.

My blood pressure went up just reading that. Were you even speaking with a human being? Actually--were you speaking with someone at a call center outside the US? I wonder, given his stubborn refusal to change his answer at all.

You know, if you hope the Toll bridge to Guam, you might be able to make it before the facility closes for the night. ;)

Good luck!

I think it was an overseas call center, because I was warned that FedEx in the U.S. is closed on Sunday at the beginning of the call.

That sucks. I hope you got it.

If not: I can get a person with esclations number if you want. (I'm a speaking term with my FedEx rep.)
