Important Announcement!
Oct. 28th, 2009 10:21 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
This weekend, you will all receive the special Halloween fic that Kristin has been pestering me about for a full year.
And then, after that, I am doing NaNoWriMo, because I figure I'm not overcommitted enough. Just don't tell my job, who would clearly decide I'm not being worked nearly hard enough if I have time to write a novel. (Today, if you hadn't guessed, was not a good day at work.)
Anyway, I'm actually very excited about doing NaNo! And, if you like, here is my profile.
The reason for this post is to warn all of you that there will be no new fic during the month of November. This is to protect my sanity, basically, which is in need of quite a bit of protection, I think you would all agree. If I owe you a Support Stacie prompt, you will receive it promptly come December.
There are four weekends during the month of November. I propose this: Four commentaries, one for each weekend. And how will I decide which fics to commentary. The four fics below with the most requests will be the four fics that get a commentary. If there is a tie (for instance, if there are 7 fics each with one vote), then the fics with the earliest comments will be commentaries (so, the fics in the first four comments to this entry). If you would like to know which fics I have already commentaried (is that a word?), go here (there are a lot). Finally, as always, please pick one part of a multi-part fic. I will commentary more than one part of a multi-part fic, but each part has to be independently one of the four most popular.
Does all of this make sense? Questions? Let me know! And request/vote away below!

Date: 2009-10-31 12:23 am (UTC)And now you are signed up for NaNo, so clearly the insanity is catching!
I am very much looking forward to getting it all out. I write myself long e-mails frequently, describing my mental state so I won't forget exactly what it all feels out. I think it will be useful to finally get to tell everyone what I think of them. Through fiction.

Date: 2009-10-31 05:25 pm (UTC)Fiction is a wonderful tool for spouting truth indirectly. What a great idea to email yourself with descriptions of how it feels - you'll have lots of real material to draw on without needing to remember things from months ago (I have a horrible memory so I do this kind of thing too - though I often just use a google doc these days). I'm interested to see how your story turns out. Maybe it will help you write your way out!
